Kip - 2 months

At two months old, Kip...

Has the most fun in the bath. It’s his favorite time of the day for sure!

Started his very first day of daycare at FACS Early Learning Center on October 1! I was blessed enough to be able to stay at home with him for a full 8 weeks.

Has started cooing at us when we say his name... he loves to hear us call his name.

Has the absolute sweetest brothers around!

Kip’s first day at daycare was also today

Kip Ford - 1 month

At one month Kip...

weighs 9.8 lb.

is 22 inches long.

nurses/eats 9 times a day.

wakes up between one and three times a night.

is taking a bottle of pumped milk once a day (to practice for daycare next month).

Smiles and grins at us when we talk to him. He loves for us to look at him and talk.

Wears newborn size diapers and clothes.

Sleeps best swaddled up at night. He absolutely doesn’t tolerate being cool or air blowing on him so the warmer the better for Kip.

Has started to be gassy so we have been trying gas drops. They seem to be helping. I tried gripe water first but it didn’t seem to touch it so we moved to drops and they seem to have the magic touch for our Kip.

Is adored by his big brothers. They want to touch, hold, and kiss him constantly! :)

FACS First Day

Levi and Coy  had their first day at FACS Early Learning Center. They were really excited and we are excited to see how they grow and learn this year and in the years to come.

Coy Blake - 3

At 3 years Coy Blake...

weighs 29 lb.

is 3 feet 2 inches tall.

is allergic to ants.

is a daddy's boy through and through. He sits with his daddy every chance he gets; he has a pillow he sits on so he and daddy can both sit in the recliner. He tags along with his daddy for everything and must wear his "work clothes" just like daddy complete with a sleeveless shirt and a belt. He adores his daddy and I am pretty sure the feeling is mutual...

His favorite toy is a hammer and his tractor. He is a country boy and wants nothing more than to build stuff and get muddy. :D

His best friend is his brother Levi. They do absolutely everything together; baths, bed, prayers, their favorite tv shows, breakfast, playing ALL day, EVERYTHING! Of course they are brothers and there are numerous arguments (and sometimes all-out fights) but they love each other and are each other's best buddies....

A few things Coy says “watie” = water ; “yous” = you ; “ya’s” = your’s ; and sometimes he just adds an “ey” to the end of words just to be extra cute!! ;)

Coy is honestly the sweetest little soul. He is quiet, small for his age, and humble. Last week while all the grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins were singing him "Happy Birthday" he cried; not because he was sad or scared but he was just that happy.
