He stands alone...

Yes, Levi can officially stand by himself!! He was holding on to the coffee table with me talking and playing with him when he let go and stood all by himself!!! He stayed for about ten seconds then he went into his little squat and then he sat down all by himself!! The entire time I am screaming "He's is standing! He's is standing!" Daddy, Nana Anna, and Papa John were all there to witness it too! ;)

After that, he stood by himself again later in the afternoon so I'm pretty sure it wasn't just a hoax!! ;)

Yay forLevi!!!! :)

Official end to summer

This past Wednesday was the official end of summer for me and Levi. I had inservice and Mr. Levi went to daycare for the first full day since May! :'( He has grown so much since then! I wish time would slow down!!! So in honor of the end of summer, Levi turning 9 months old, and all the growth that he has done so far I  decided to share some random facts about Levi that most of you don't know...

1. Levi has been sick three times since birth. Once with RSV, once with Strep throat (babies get strep?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!), and once just two weeks ago with a cough and sore throat. :(

2. Seriously pitches a fit when the four wheeler is turned off or he is taken off anything with a motor. He loves being outside and on the tractor or four wheeler and when he is taken off he makes sure we know that is not what he wants!!!

3. His favorite toy changes about every three days. Just this summer he went from a diaper box, a stuffed lion, the telephone, his rattle car, his big orange ball, and a water gun. And those are just the ones off the top of my head! His favorite toy right now is anything that he can pull up on. He loves to just stand and look around!

4. He turns into baby devil when you wash his hair... He absolutely despises the rinsing part of washing hair!! :(

5. He LOVES to play on our bed. It is a king size and extra cushy and he just flops back and forth, rolling all over the place! :)

6. He has gotten to where he talks and plays nonstop!! When he was smaller and not so mobile, we would say how we couldn't wait until he started to play with toys and talk more.... Now that it's here we adore every second of it!! We seriously have about twenty videos of him playing and talking. :)

7. Still loves to play peek-a-boo. He laughs and talks the whole time we are playing peek-a-boo with him!!

8. Acts completely shy in public!! Even though he is definitely not shy at home around other people he hides his little face and turns his head. It really is sweet... :)

9. He has been mistaken for a red head by strangers! In certain light his hair looks lighter or darker and I guess in some light he looks red headed...

Just a few pictures from this summer...

Levi ~ 9 Months

Levi at 9 months:
Weights 21 lbs. (One doctor's office said he weighed 21.6 lbs and another said he weighed 20.2 lbs so we are just going to average it!!) :)

29 inches long (Above average) ;)

Wears size three diapers and 9 months size clothes.

Eats breakfast, lunch, and supper along with getting nursed six times a day. I have still been giving him a sippy cup/bottle once a day all summer. He starts with a sippy cup but then he starts to just play with it so I give the rest of it to him in bottle.

Officially has six teeth that have cut through the gums!! Wow!!

Can really crawl with his stomach off the floor, pull up by himself on just about anything, and walk while he is holding our hands! :) He has grown so much since June!!

Can say dada, dadeee, mama, bye bye, hey, and hey there! I swear he says "I got it!' when he gets his little hands on something he wants but that is just me! ;)

Y'all have no idea how long it took me to get him to sit for this picture! ;)

He wakes up twice a night on average... He went through a phase for about four days where it was only once then it went two and then three. :/ After a few days of getting up three times a night, he stayed up practically all night either nursing or crying. I took him to the doctor the next day and he had a sore throat and cough. Now he is doing much better on sleep and the sore throat!! :) YAY!!!!!!

Favorite toy is anything that he can pull up and stand up with! He is especially fond of cabinets and Duke. He also LOVES his daddy's four-wheeler and tractor! He loves to ride (very slowly) and tends to cry/pitch a fit when it is turned off! :) His most favorite place to be is outsides doing anything! He likes to be carried around outside, pushed in the stroller, swinging, anything, as long as he is outside!!

Doing one of his favorite things; exploring in the cabinets!

We love watching him discover new things! His eyes get really big and he starts to kick his legs and get excited! It is precious!! He is constantly moving and active! It amazes me that he doesn't need more sleep! ;) I am so thankful that I have a job (that I love) that allows me this time with him!! :)
